The Membership Team helps community residents find out about the benefits of ITAV membership, helps enroll anyone who would like to join, and invites new members to participate in new-member initiatives. In addition, the Membership Team provides reminders to members whose membership is expiring and helps them to renew.


Why would you want to become a member of ITAV?  Because you want to remain in your own home as you get older.  ITAV, for a $25 a year fee, will provide you with many services:  You may ask for rides.  You may ask for "helping hands" to come to fix small nuisances, or you may just want to receive a friendly visit. We do not duplicate services that other organizations provide. We cooperate with what's already working in our villages.

The Volunteer Team is responsible for recruiting all volunteers.  All inquiries for volunteering flow through this team. They make the first contact, and help match candidates interests with the current need for volunteers. They insure all applicants are vetted before passing them onto one of the service teams to complete the on-boarding process.

Team Members - all Volunteer Drivers 

The Drivers Team has three responsibilities: (1) interview, train and collect necessary documents from a potential driver;  (2) keep track of expiration dates for all required documents and notify drivers if document has expired; and, (3) maintain the schedule of availability used by the Service Coordinators to match ride requests with an available driver.

Team Members - all Service Coordinators


When you call the ITAV office or receive a call from the office, you are talking to a volunteer  ITAV "Service Coordinator".  Service Coordinators not only answer the ITAV phone and take your service request, they are also responsible for matching you with the appropriate volunteer, coordinating schedules and facilitating all aspects of the service. They have an advanced computer and communications system and have access to all your previous contacts and any specific needs you may have. A Service Coordinator is available to answer the ITAV phone Monday - Friday for eight hours a day (9:00 am-5:00 pm-excluding holidays). As Service Coordinators rotate their schedule, it may seem that you get a different person every time you call. 

The Service Coordinator Team leader is responsible for the initial training, support of, and ongoing training of Service Coordinators. The Team leader meets regularly with the Service Coordinators, gets feedback about procedures that need updating, and provides ongoing support. All Service Coordinators are ITAV members

In Home Services Team - Team Leaders: Alice Blood
In Home Services Team - Team Leaders: Alice Blood

Prior to receiving In-Home services, the Team Leaders of ITAV In-Home Services will call to arrange a visit in your home to learn of your expectations and needs.  We will ask how would  a volunteer best meet your needs at your home (apartment, condo, single home, multi family), where is the best location to park, do you have a pet?  (some volunteers are allergic).  The visit is to ensure the highest possible member satisfaction.

The Treasury Team is responsible for all financial transactions for ITAV. They report finances to the board and track spending. Additionally they publish ITAV's annual report.

The Events team makes recommendations to the Board for ITAV events and speakers. They encourage all members, volunteers, and Board members to make suggestions for consideration.
